    A Consumer Sciences Undergraduate Program That Used Rubrics and a Flipped Classroom

    The Learning Improvement Community collects and shares learning improvement stories for the higher education community. The goal of their Story Projectis to create a collaborative resource for faculty and assessment professionals everywhere.They found a compelling example of assessment and student learning improvement at CHES.

    Caroline Fulmer, Consumer Sciences faculty member, teaches a capstone class called Managing for a High Performance Organization
      She found that while her students grasped concepts, they struggled in the application them. Her solution - a flipped classroom which paid off with improved performance of her students in the critical thinking and problem solving skills that are crucial to success in their future careers. Fulmer shares her story in this video.
